Bob Brown has always had a passion for the outdoors, from the time he was old enough to follow his dad, Bob was either on a tractor, on a horse, or in the woods near his home in Eudora, Arkansas. Sports were never a thought that crossed his mind because practices and games interfered with farming time and hunting time, which were way more important in his eyes. Bob graduated from the University of Louisiana-Monroe with a degree in insurance. This led to him initially working as an insurance agent/account manager for an independent insurance agency for 23 years before branching out on his own and forming Brown Insurance Agency. His agency currently services the Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi Delta region and focuses solely on crop insurance. Throughout his years as an independent insurance agent and now agency owner, Bob’s focus has never changed. “I believe if you take good care of the customer, the rest will take care of itself”. Being a crop insurance agent lends to strong ties to farming, the outdoors, and the land, which have always been Bob’s passions.
Through Bob’s relationship with Nick Thomas, of Steward Link/SWAPA Land, he was always seeing Nick’s social media posts from SWAPA Land and became very interested in the possibility of becoming a land agent. One night Bob sent Nick a text saying he wanted to talk to him about SWAPA. Nick’s response was “I hope you are wanting to become an agent”, and the rest is history. “I felt like becoming a real estate agent focusing on recreational properties and farmland was the perfect complement to my crop insurance agency since almost every one of my friends and colleagues were also avid in the outdoors and passionate about land.”
Bob, his wife, Claire, and daughter, Keller, all live on the cattle ranch, that Bob grew up on, outside of Eudora, Arkansas, that was started by his grandparents and then continued by his parents. They are members of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Lake Village. When he’s not working or spending time with his family, you’ll likely find Bob on a tractor baling hay, working cows alongside his dad, nestled beside a tree trying to lure in a spring gobbler, or waiting on a mature buck to make a mistake. The outdoors has always been Bob’s escape, whether it be on the farm or in the woods, let him help you find your escape.
