Why Swapa Land™?
SWAPA was created by four unique individuals who were all raised with strong connections to the land. What is SWAPA LAND™? Soil, Water, Air, Plants, and Animals; hence, SWAPA the acronym for what we all cherish.
Chipper Gibbes was raised with dirt between his toes and dirt lodged between his teeth. His daddy and granddaddy alike were farmers and avid hunters who loved the land dearly. They made their mark in and around Learned, Mississippi, which is Chipper’s headquarters today. The experiences Chipper has gained through managing his 1,500+ acre spread are perfect for helping those discerning sportsmen sell and find great properties. You should ask him about his quail and turkey management and his joy when he unexpectedly flushes a covey or runs across a turkey brood old enough to fly. Chipper started out in the appraisal business many years ago, where he gained valuable experience in all types of real estate. But he naturally gravitated back to what he loved… LAND. Land ownership is special for Chipper, which is why he naturally began to represent buyers and sellers. Chipper’s land management background, combined with his real estate experience, makes him great at recognizing a property’s potential and solving complex real estate issues. Whether you are buying, selling, or simply concerned with making sure you are getting the most value and enjoyment from your property, you want Chipper on your team. Chipper and his wife Susan are also busy raising two boys and operating several businesses in addition to serving as SWAPA’s Responsible Broker.
Frank S. Brumfield where do I start? This man has accomplished more than most of us dream about in our lifetime. Frank hails from a row crop farm in Inverness, Mississippi, and, like Nick Thomas, graduated from Mississippi State. When he graduated in the 80s, his Dad said, “Son, things are in a very tough AG cycle right now. The farm will always be here, but this is an opportunity to see what else is out there. Go find and make your way.” Frank ended up in the city he now calls home, Chicago, and for the longest time, was a very active and successful trader on the Chicago Board of Trade. Having retired from the trading world, Frank has built an empire focused on investing in land and agriculture, including grain distribution, soybean oil production, row crop farms, cattle ranch operations, and many other diverse endeavors. Look him up at www.fsbcompanies.com. Frank’s involvement with us and impact on our lives proves that he is a key piece to SWAPA, realizing its potential in helping buyers and sellers of real estate. Frank and his wife, Mary Frances, live in Chicago and have raised three incredible children: Swayze, Blake, and Lucy.
And then there is me, Will Primos. All I wanted to do growing up was fish and hunt. Being raised on a 52-acre property on the edge of town gave me untold opportunities to pull my little red “RADIO FLYER” wagon to our lake to fish for bass and bluegill or chase small game to my 6-year-old heart’s content with my trusty Sheridan Pellet Gun. From there, there were quail, ducks, deer, and turkeys every chance I got. A great team of devoted hunters and I built Primos Hunting into a household name and brand in the hunting industry. Along the way, I learned that places with the right habitat held more critters, and I learned to cherish and love those places. Now, as a partner with Nick Thomas in Steward Link®, LLC, we help the Steward of the Land put conservation practices to work, making the habitat and the land better for all of us. My wife Mary is one of the best elk callers I have ever hunted with, and she ain’t a bad shot on turkeys either. It was only natural, due to all our combined 103 years of knowledge, for us to come together: Nick, Frank, and myself to create a path for helping the buyer and seller realize their dreams of land ownership.
Welcome to SWAPA,
Will Primos
